Claims & Certifications

Chances are, your food is meant to meet the needs of a specific group of consumers.  Of course all claims and statements about food must be 100% truthful and non-misleading so documenting your substantiation is a requirement before you market your food.  For example, claims such as "gluten-free" or "allergen-free" could require testing by you or your ingredient suppliers.  Certifications such as USDA Organic or the Non-GMO Project verification require gathering and preparing documentation for 3rd party certifiers.   We can guide you through the process or complete the work on your behalf.

Labeling

Regardless of the size of your company you will likely need labeling.  There are many details to juggle in labeling food, its name, the ingredient statement and Nutrition Facts are among the most important.  Getting these right can require a lot of time or specialized software, especially if your food has multiple ingredients.  We offer label content development that you can send to your label printer or we can review the information you put together for accuracy.  We also can provide nutrition information for your recipes if you are a restaurant or sell food for immediate consumption.

Making Good Quality, Safe Food

Going from kitchen to manufacturing can be a big jump.  Finding a co-manufacturer or investing in your own equipment will mean making sure every ingredient meets your standards and the finished food is safe under its conditions of distribution and use.   Whether you need a written food safety plan or just help writing your ingredient specifications, we can jump in.  We can also be your "boots on the ground" with a co-manufacturer to make sure you meet food safety requirements, and that product quality meets your goals.
